Writers in Baltimore Schools’s literary magazine, Baltimore by Hand, launched May 8th at the Charles Village Barnes & Noble. We celebrated the launch with a reading given by WBS students. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edward P. Jones spent Tuesday, April 19 with WBS’s high school group, which meets weekly to read Jones’s short fiction. The students then attended Towson University’s inaugural Dr. John Gissendanner Memorial Lecture Series, where Jones read from his collection All Aunt Hagar’s Children.
