WBS Alum’s First Publication!

WBS alum Terrell Kellam’s first publication appears in the inaugural issue of Seltzer, a Baltimore-based online zine. Second annual Summer Writing Studio

On August 23 & 24, students convened at Barclay Elementary/Middle school for our second annual Summer Writing Studio! Together, our students and writing tutors spent two days immersed in the world of words. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edward P. Jones works with WBS students

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edward P. Jones spent Tuesday, April 19 with WBS’s high school group, which meets weekly to read Jones’s short fiction. The students then attended Towson University’s inaugural Dr. John Gissendanner Memorial Lecture Series, where Jones read from his collection All Aunt Hagar’s Children.
