Writers in Baltimore Schools Student Featured in BBC’s “Project 17” Series

This week, BBC’s “Project 17” series featured Monet Wimbish, a student with Writers in Baltimore Schools, an organization started by 2008 OSI Community Fellow Patrice Hutton.  The series consists of interviews with 17 17-year olds from 17 countries talking about what they want from the 17 goals of the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development designed to create a blueprint for a better future.

Monet’s episode focuses on the goal of Reducing Inequalities, and she interviews Mayor Brandon Scott, Baltimore Ceasefire founder Erricka Bridgeford, and Seema Iyer, who oversees the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance among others.
