Edward P. Jones, Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Known World, will join WBS on April 19, 2011 for a day of writing workshops with Baltimore students and an evening reading at Towson University. Please check back for details.
WBS 8th graders Robtrea Brown and Terrell Kellam won the 2010 Words on Wheels poetry contest. The students’ winning poetry will be displayed on Baltimore City buses and trains for an entire year. Members of Margaret Brent’s 8th grade writing workshop will perform their original play, “The Day Baltimore Ran Out of Chicken” in the school gymnasium at 3:15 p.m.
